Portraits de Fierté

These pictures tell the unique stories of refugees from different parts of the world: Faieq from Iraq, Sandip from India and Yulia from Ukraine. Instead of the usual dramatic images of vulnerability, I aimed to showcase the strength and pride of these individuals.

Furthermore, typical recipes from their home countries are highlighted in the scenes, allowing viewers to not only experience a visual story but also take a flavorful journey through the culinary diversity of Iraq, India, and Ukraine. The photos invite reflection on the power of the human spirit, the richness of cultural backgrounds, and the importance of cherishing tradition, even amidst challenges and change."
